A retro futurist manga vision of a 1950’s US dream planned community set on another planet. Full scale builds combined with digital mattes and miniatures. Two full scale aluminium clad houses built and surrounded with copper astroturf and landscaping on Pinewood’s Bond stage, combined with shots of a 45' square miniature of 100 houses. Featuring floating plywood fireplaces with flaming fireballs, a remote control Raymond Lowey inspired vacuum cleaner, floating transparent perspex Mickey Mouse television [2 years before the imac ], a space ship pod made with fighter pilot canopy formed perspex with menthol crystals grown on the inside surface, and a rather nosey neighbour.
